Hibiscus
The Hibiscus, with its large, vivid blooms, is one of the easiest and most rewarding flowering plants for Indian gardens, balconies and pots. With the right sun, water and feeding, it flowers almost all year.
जास्वंद ही मोठ्या, आकर्षक फुलांची एक सोपी आणि आनंददायी वनस्पती आहे. योग्य सूर्यप्रकाश, पाणी आणि खत मिळाल्यास ती जवळपास वर्षभर फुलत राहते.
Soil
Use well-draining soil rich in organic matter — a mix of garden soil, compost and sand. Keep the pH slightly acidic to neutral (6.0–7.0).
सेंद्रिय पदार्थांनी समृद्ध व पाण्याचा निचरा होणारी माती वापरा — बागेची माती, कंपोस्ट व वाळू यांचे मिश्रण. मातीचा सामू ६.० ते ७.० ठेवा.
Watering
Water regularly and deeply, especially while flowering. Let the top layer of soil dry slightly between waterings, and never let water stand at the roots.
नियमित व भरपूर पाणी द्या, विशेषतः फुलांच्या हंगामात. दोन वेळच्या पाण्यामध्ये वरची माती थोडी कोरडी होऊ द्या; मुळांशी पाणी साचू देऊ नका.
Sunlight
Hibiscus loves sun. Give it at least 6 to 8 hours of direct sunlight daily for the brightest, most abundant blooms.
जास्वंदीला भरपूर ऊन आवडते. तेजस्वी व भरपूर फुलांसाठी दररोज किमान ६ ते ८ तास थेट सूर्यप्रकाश द्या.
Fertilizer
Feed once a month during the growing season with Kulsum Vermicompost+ — an organic feed rich in nutrients and beneficial microbes for larger, brighter flowers. (See dose chart below.)
वाढीच्या हंगामात महिन्यातून एकदा कुलसुम गांडूळखत+ वापरा — पोषक व उपयुक्त सूक्ष्मजीवांनी समृद्ध सेंद्रिय खत, ज्यामुळे फुले मोठी व तेजस्वी होतात.
Pruning
Trim dead or diseased branches and remove spent flowers. Regular pruning keeps the plant bushy, improves air flow and encourages continuous blooming.
मेलेल्या व रोगट फांद्या आणि सुकलेली फुले काढा. नियमित छाटणीमुळे झाड दाट राहते, हवा खेळती राहते व सतत फुले येतात.
Pest & Disease
Watch for aphids, whiteflies and mealybugs. Spray neem oil or a mild insecticidal soap. Good spacing and air circulation prevent fungal problems.
मावा, पांढरी माशी व मिलीबग यांवर लक्ष ठेवा. कडुनिंब तेल किंवा सौम्य कीटकनाशक साबणाची फवारणी करा. योग्य अंतर व हवेचा चांगला प्रवाह बुरशी रोखतो.

Common problems
Yellow leaves / पिवळी पाने
Usually overwatering or a nutrient shortage. Check that the pot drains well, water a little less, and feed with Vermicompost+.
बहुतेकदा जास्त पाणी किंवा पोषकतत्त्वांची कमतरता. कुंडीतून पाणी नीट वाहते का पाहा, पाणी थोडे कमी द्या व गांडूळखत+ वापरा.
No flowers / bud drop / फुले येत नाहीत
Often too little sun, too much nitrogen, or water stress. Ensure 6–8 hrs of direct sun and switch to organic feeding.
बहुतेकदा कमी ऊन, जास्त नत्र किंवा पाण्याचा ताण. ६–८ तास थेट ऊन द्या व सेंद्रिय खताकडे वळा.
Sticky leaves / pests / चिकट पाने, कीड
A sign of aphids or mealybugs. Spray neem oil in the evening every 7–10 days until clear.
मावा किंवा मिलीबगचे लक्षण. कीड जाईपर्यंत दर ७–१० दिवसांनी संध्याकाळी कडुनिंब तेलाची फवारणी करा.
Sudden leaf drop / अचानक पानगळ
Often caused by a sudden change in place, temperature or watering. Keep conditions steady and avoid moving the plant too often.
बहुतेकदा जागा, तापमान किंवा पाण्यातील अचानक बदलामुळे. परिस्थिती स्थिर ठेवा व झाड वारंवार हलवू नका.
